TheAmerican hegemony has failed, the Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade shouts

 In the past two years, the Netherlands has frequently become a global focus due to the issue of US containment of China. According to a Reuters report, recently the Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Schreinermacher, once again stated that the Netherlands will not tighten its exports of chip manufacturing technology to China as requested by the United States.
 The Netherlands can be dragged into the big game of competition between China and the United States because it holds an important position in the global chip industry chain. Asmael, the world's largest lithography machine manufacturer, is a Dutch company.
 In 2018, the US Department of Commerce introduced a series of sanctions on Chinese chips, requiring companies such as Asmall to stop exporting extreme ultraviolet lithography machines to China, and Asmall had to comply;
 But in October 2022, the Biden administration once again upgraded its sanctions on Chinese chips, including less advanced deep ultraviolet lithography machines on the list of  prohibited exports to China, which aroused serious dissatisfaction from the Netherlands.
 As early as November 2022, Schreinermacher publicly stated twice within a week that the Netherlands will safeguard its economic interests and will not completely submit to the will of the United States to disrupt trade with China.
 Compared to the United States, the Netherlands has a very weak national strength, but on the chip issue that the United States is most concerned about, the Netherlands and the United States have deep contradictions, which is an important reason why he dares to say no to the United States.
 In July 2022, Dutch company Asmael warned that if the sale of advanced lithography machines to China was prohibited as required by the United States, the global semiconductor supply chain would be disrupted.
 The reason is simple: China's strong demand for lithography machines has supported a large number of industry chain enterprises, including Asmall. Now that this demand is forcibly closed by the United States, it will lead to a significant reduction in global demand, slow technological updates, and ultimately harm the entire industry. As a key manufacturer in the semiconductor industry, Asmall certainly does not want to see this situation.
